Pumpkin Fest at Darts Farm, Topsham
Darts Farm says there are “tens of thousands of homegrown pumpkins”, with magic shows, face painting, marshmallow toasting and street food. It runs every day from Monday 26 to Saturday 31 October, 10am to 4.30pm with last entry at 3pm, and on the weekends before. Tickets are £5 per adult or child, under-1s free, and you book an arrival slot but can stay until closing. The ticket does not include a pumpkin, some activities cost extra on the day, it is card only, parking is free and dogs on leads are welcome (Darts Farm, Pumpkin Fest 2026).
Halloween Spook-Fest at Crealy
Crealy Theme Park runs Spook-Fest from 24 to 31 October, 10am to 5pm, with live scare mazes, a gentler “Buddy’s Spook Maze” for younger children, and a free pumpkin for every child from its Pumpkin Garden. Day tickets are from £20 online or £25 on the gate, and anyone under 92cm goes free. A trick-or-treat trail costs £6.95 extra. Spook-Fest visitors can come back free on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November (Crealy, Halloween Spook-Fest).
RAMM: fungi week
The Royal Albert Memorial Museum has two half-term events on a mushroom theme.
- Mushroom Magic, build a woodland dwelling. A nature craft workshop where children make a fungi-inspired miniature house. Tuesday 27 and Thursday 29 October, 10.30am to 3.30pm, £3.50, drop in (RAMM)
- The Mushroom Show. Scratchworks Theatre Company’s interactive science show about fungi, for ages 5 and up. Wednesday 28 October at 11am and 1.30pm, £5.50 (RAMM)
Shrek the Musical Jr at the Corn Exchange
Stage by Stage students perform Shrek The Musical JR on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 October at 2pm and 6pm. Tickets are £16, £13 concessions, or £48 for a family of four, including a £1 booking fee. Under-14s must be with an adult (Exeter Corn Exchange).
The Space Explorers Academy at the Northcott
A one-hour theatre show about the planets from the Science Museum and the UK Space Agency, made for 6 to 12-year-olds. It is on the Sunday before half term, 25 October, at 1.30pm and 4.30pm, £20.50. The show uses smoke and haze (Exeter Northcott).
Exeter’s Underground Passages
The Underground Passages beneath the city centre are open Thursday and Friday 11am to 4pm, Saturday 10.30am to 4.30pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm, and closed Monday to Wednesday. The council says it adds extra opening at its busiest times, and that the phones are swamped in school holidays, so book online. Entry is £9 adult, £7 concession, £6 child (5 to 17), £25 family. Under-5s are not allowed on tours (Exeter City Council, Underground Passages).
Exeter Cathedral, free if you live here
Anyone living in EX1 to EX4, or studying at Exeter College or the University of Exeter, gets free entry with the cathedral’s Welcome Card, collected from the Welcome Desk with proof of address. Otherwise it is £12.50 adults, free for under-18s in a family group. The cathedral is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 11.30am to 4pm on Sunday; the Treasures Exhibition is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays (Exeter Cathedral, plan your visit).
Still to be confirmed
RAMM, the Northcott and the Corn Exchange add events through October. We will check their listings again in the week before half term and add anything new.
