Topsham RFC is on sale now at £10 adult, £6 child. The Westpoint charity display has its date, prices and shuttle buses set but tickets are not live yet.

Bonfire night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November, and nothing near Exeter is on that night. Both of the area’s big displays have picked the Saturday after it, Saturday 7 November, a few miles apart on the east side of the city. If you were planning on doing both, you cannot.

On sale now: Topsham RFC, Saturday 7 November

Topsham Rugby Club has its 2026 fireworks night confirmed, priced and selling. Tickets are live on its Ticket Tailor page.

  • Where: Topsham RFC, EX3 0LY
  • Gates: 5.30pm
  • Fireworks: “expected around 7.30pm”
  • Event ends: 10.30pm
  • Advance: £10 adult, £6 child aged 5 to 16, under-5s free
  • On the gate: £12 adult, £7 child, and the club says this is “subject to availability”
  • Display by: Sonic Fireworks, back again, with “a fantastic musical finale”
  • On site: food and drink stalls, sweets, glowsticks
  • Not allowed: sparklers

The parking line is the one to read twice. The club says plainly that there is no general parking available on site. Only a limited disabled parking area exists, and you have to email clubhouse@topshamrugby.co.uk with your booking reference to reserve one. (tickettailor.com/events/topshamrfc)

Date and prices set, tickets not live: Westpoint, Saturday 7 November

The Exeter Round Table Charity Fireworks returns to Westpoint at Clyst St Mary on the same night, in aid of Devon Air Ambulance. This is the big one: Round Table calls the 2026 show “Galactic Skies” and bills it as “the largest pyro-musical display in the southwest”, with a drone show set to an “iconic galactic soundtrack” added for the first time, fired by Sonic, the 2022 British Fireworks Champions, and hosted live by Radio Exe.

The 2026 prices are already published even though booking has not opened:

Both the Westpoint listing and the Devon Air Ambulance event page say “ticket bookings to go live soon”. Neither gives an on-sale date, so this is the one to watch in September and October.

Three things that catch people out every year, all stated by the organisers:

  • Advance sales only. “Limited advance tickets only. Once sold out they cannot be bought on the gate.”
  • Your ticket type decides your gate. A shuttle bus or pedestrian ticket will not scan at the car park entrance, and there is no walking route between the car parks and the pedestrian entrance. Switching to a car park ticket on the night costs an extra £4 per adult and £3 per child, card only.
  • Everyone aged three and over needs a ticket. Two and under are free.

There is a timing wrinkle worth knowing: the event pages say gates open at 5.30pm and ask you to arrive “no later than 7pm as admission will cease at 7.20pm”, while the same page’s important information section says flatly “gates close at 7pm”. Treat 7pm as the deadline.

The shuttle buses

Round Table has 2,000 discounted ECO tickets tied to Stagecoach shuttles, and the published times are:

  • Park and ride: from Sowton and Honiton Road. First bus 16:40, then every few minutes until 18:25. Return from 19:30, leaving as full, last bus 21:30.
  • City centre: Cheeke Street, Heavitree Shops, Heavitree Bridge, Westpoint. First bus 16:40, then every 15 minutes from Cheeke Street until 18:15. Return from 19:50, last bus 21:30.

Note the park and ride sites are free to park at, which makes the shuttle the cheapest way in for a family. Full details are on our parking in Exeter page.

What has changed since last year

The Round Table display moved. In 2025 it ran on Saturday 1 November with a Halloween theme, at the same prices it is charging again this year. In 2026 it has gone to 7 November, which puts it head to head with Topsham’s, and Topsham’s own 2025 night was 1 November too. Both have shifted a week, together.

Not announced yet

  • Exminster Scouts and Winslade Manor both ran displays on 7 November 2025, according to Visit Exeter’s round-up for that season. Neither has published a 2026 date.
  • No display anywhere near the city is scheduled for bonfire night itself, Thursday 5 November.

Road and travel

No road closures have been published for either display. Round Table’s own reason for running the shuttles is blunt: “to help with the volume of car parking at Westpoint we have teamed up with Stagecoach”. Check our roadworks and travel page before you set off.

What it means for you

  • Both displays are Saturday 7 November. Pick one.
  • Topsham is bookable today and is the cheaper family option at £10 and £6, but you cannot park there.
  • Westpoint is not bookable yet. Its prices are known, so budget £28 for a family of four on the shuttle, or £40 if you drive.
  • Do not turn up at Westpoint on spec. It is advance sales only and there is nothing on the gate once it has sold out.
  • Buy the right ticket for the way you are travelling, because the scanners will refuse the wrong one at the wrong gate.
